Alfred Stradling John - known affectionately as "Alfie" was the founder of Pontypridd Market.

This bust was commissioned to celebrate the new Bistro; Alfred's designed and constructed by "Alfie's" grandsons near the market in Pontypridd

The sculpture was modelled in clay to full life scale and captures both the subjects likeliness and character.
